International Search Fee increases in Finland

Some fees for patent matters will change on 1 July 2008.

The most important change concerns the international search fee charged by the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland in those PCT applications in which the Finnish Patent Office acts as the international searching authority. The search fee is raised from 1615 € to 1700 €. After this the international search fee charged by the Finnish Patent Office is equivalent to that charged by the Swedish Patent Office and the European Patent Office.

The application fee for supplementary protection certificates and the registration fee for layout-designs of integrated circuits is raised from 250 € to 400 €, which is equivalent to the amount of the filing fee for a patent application.
