Protection period for fi-domains soon to be either 1 or 3 years

There will soon be two alternatives for the protection period of a fi-domain name. The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority will improve its domain name services and starting on January 5, 2009, it will be possible to register, renew and assign a registered fi-domain name to a new owner for a period of one or three years at a time.

The related fees will also change.
